Reiki is a Japanese healing practice that involves the channelling of universal life energy to promote balance, relaxation, and well-being. The word "Reiki" is composed of two Japanese words: "rei," which means universal, and "ki," which refers to life energy or vital force.
Reiki is based on the belief that there is a life energy that flows through all living beings, and disruptions or imbalances in this energy can lead to physical, emotional, or spiritual ailments. The practice of Reiki aims to restore the natural flow of this energy, supporting the body's self-healing abilities.
During a Reiki session, a practitioner typically places their hands lightly on or just above the recipient's body in various positions. The practitioner facilitates the healing for the universal life energy to flow, allowing it to flow through them and into the recipient. The energy is believed to go where it is needed most, promoting relaxation, stress reduction, healing and a sense of well-being.
Reiki is considered a non-invasive and gentle healing modality, making it suitable for people of all ages and conditions. It is often used as a complementary therapy alongside conventional medical treatments. Reiki sessions can be conducted in person or remotely, as energy is believed to transcend physical distance and time.
Energy healing is a broad term that encompasses various alternative healing modalities and practices based on the belief that the body, mind, and emotions are interconnected and influenced by subtle energy fields. The fundamental concept behind energy healing is that imbalances or disruptions in these energy fields can lead to physical, emotional, or spiritual ailments, and restoring the flow and balance of energy systems can support healing and well-being.

Reiki: Reiki is a Japanese energy healing practice that involves the channelling of universal life energy through the hands of the practitioner.
Healing Touch: Healing Touch is an energy-based therapy that involves the use of hands-on or near-body techniques to clear, balance, and restore the body's energy systems.
Core Regeneration: Based on body mind balance. Using muscle testing techniques bringing issues and blockages into awareness so the recipient can clear it.
Crystal Healing: Crystal healing involves the use of crystals or gemstones placed on or around the body to facilitate energy healing and promote balance and well-being.
Shamanic Healing: Shamanic healing practices, found in various indigenous cultures, involve working with spiritual energies, guides, and ceremonies to restore balance and harmony.
Conscious Breathing: Directing awareness to the breath to aid in the healing.
Distant healing, also known as remote healing, is the practice of providing healing energy to someone who is not physically present. Energy and intention can transcend physical distance and time and has a positive effect on the person's well-being and healing journey.
Energy Healing and Reiki (Universal Life Force Energy) teaches us that we are more than just our physical bodies and that Reiki surrounds us as an energy body. Reiki energy connects on our spiritual and energetic levels. Distant Reiki sessions work because energy is not limited by distance. Distance is only a physical limitation, so sessions can be done without clients being physically present. We are all connected, as we are all energy matter and part of a larger whole.
The effects of distant healing are virtually no different than hands-on healing.
An experienced Energy healer can send healing energy to a person anywhere in the world no matter how far away from the healer they are. The energy transmissions in a remote session are just as strong, if not stronger, as if they were delivered in person directly with the hands. Distant healings are ideal for those who don’t live in a reasonable distance from a practitioner, people who don’t have the means to travel to and from a healer’s office, or if you don’t particularly like someone touching you, a distance healer can provide the same benefit without the need to physically touch. Those who are interested in receiving a Reiki healing session do not have to be suffering from any type of illness to benefit from a session. Sessions can help with relaxation, balancing and keeping the energy channels open, decreasing the likelihood of illness due to blocked Chakras.

Every experience of Energy Healing is different, subjective, changeable, and sometimes very subtle. The recipient receives only what they need. Reiki is pure love energy, experienced in several different ways. To some there is a feeling of warmth or coldness. Some people can actually feel a pulsating rhythm, some feel a trembling sensation or tingling, stomach rumbles and sometimes, the recipient doesn't feel anything physical, but experiences a sense of calmness and relaxation within themselves. The recipient may also see colours or images.
Reiki is incredibly comforting and peaceful. Most people, if they don’t fall asleep, feel that they are conscious, aware of their surroundings but deeply drawn in, meditative state. Sometimes the experience of Reiki is dramatic, while for other people, the first session in particular may be uneventful, although they feel somehow better and lighter afterward. The most common experience is an almost immediate release of stress and a feeling of deep relaxation and a feeling of being lighter.
Reiki is cumulative and even people who don't notice much the first time usually have progressively deeper experiences if they continue. Besides the immediate experience of the Reiki, you may notice other changes that continue to unfold as the day goes on: perhaps stronger digestion, a sense of being more centred and poised and less reactive and sleeping deeply that night.
Reiki is doing its job, no matter what you feel. Because Reiki is working on eliminating toxins from the body, people who receive healing can sometimes feel a little worse for a short while after a session.
It simply indicates that the core of the sickness, pain or issue is being brought to the surface so that it can be dealt with effectively by the body's natural cleansing system. Most people feel better immediately. If you have a session and you feel great afterwards, that does not mean you missed something! Reiki works with your body in the way that is most beneficial to you at that moment. Trust in the intelligence of your body and the Reiki energy to work together for your greatest benefit.
The effects or outcome of each treatment is determined by the needs of the individual who is receiving the healing.

Reiki may help decrease pain perception by healing the emotional aspect of pain. Reiki is meant to resolve emotional distress by allowing healing energy to flow freely throughout the body, which results in relaxation and reduced pain and tension throughout the body.
